Gault&Millau's review 2026
Chef's Restaurant
The restaurant Antonijo is located in the centre of Rogoznica, right next to the waterfront, in a row of stone houses. It has been nurturing the Dalmatian culinary tradition for years and is known for its fresh ingredients and consistent quality. The terrace offers a view of the sea and the harbour, and it is especially beautiful and pleasant on summer evenings. The menu is classic Dalmatian. It is based on fish, shellfish and crabs, and selected cuts of meat such as lamb chops or rump steak. When you choose the fish, listen to the recommendation of the waiter who will offer you the catch of the day: grouper, gilthead sea bream, sea bass, dentex or grilled scampi. One thing is for sure: you can’t go wrong. Dalmatian specialties include brodetto with polenta, octopus under a baking bell, black risotto and the less traditional orzotto with prawns. If you are lucky enough to find them, we recommend the grilled Adriatic squid, which has all the flavours of the world, salty-sweet, juicy and topped with top-quality olive oil. The wine list offers Croatian labels, mostly Dalmatian varieties such as Plavac Mali, Pošip and Maraština. The house wine is also served by the glass. The dessert selection is less traditional and we would like to see some new creations. However, the fig cake is still delicious. The personnel are professional, friendly, and we didn’t wait long for the food. The prices are appropriate for the quality of the food. Antonijo justified last year’s increase in points and 2 Gault&Millau toques.
