Once upon a time, there was a theatre, and today it is a theatre of taste – these are the words that guests use to describe Bajamonti Pizza, Steak & Fish House. In addition to the name of the restaurant on the Prokurative square, which is a tribute to the 19th-century mayor of Split, Antonio Bajamonti, the interior details, such as old cinema posters, are reminiscent of times gone by. The gastronomic concept includes 13 types of pizza from a wood-fired bread oven, various meat dishes (pork shank, chicken saltimbocca ), dry-aged steaks (seven types), burgers, pasta and fish dishes prepared according to traditional recipes. From gregada (light fish stew) and lobster in a brodetto to white fish al forno for two people. Their pizzas are very innovative, and their Boshkarin 2.0 – pizza with Boškarin (Istrian autochthonous beef) salami, truffle sauce and shimeji mushrooms – is unique. The Black Angusha, on the other hand, is made with Black Angus beef, and the Peshkarusa (with scampi, tomatoes, Grana Padano and arugula) is a tribute to the famous Split fish market. They offer several equally innovative desserts, such as the chocolate mousse with olive oil, and the wine list has a solid selection of Italian sparkling wines, French champagnes and wines from all over Croatia.
