Gault&Millau's review 2026

The popular Basta Gourmet Bar is located on Varšavska Street, in the city centre. It offers much more than authentic Neapolitan pizzas certified by the Verace Pizza Napoletana association. The menu includes cold plates with various cold cuts and cheeses, Neapolitan/Mediterranean sandwiches, a variety of salads, and a few desserts. We tried the prosciutto croccante salad, which was a real treat: baked, crispy prosciutto combined with various leafy salads, feta cheese, olives, tomatoes, corn, and pizza sticks. Fresh vegetables and rich flavours made this salad really appealing. Then we decided on the traditional Napoletana, or rather Bufalina, with tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, basil, and olive oil. The dough was classic Neapolitan, with a raised, airy edge and thinner in the middle. We really liked the pizza, which arrived warm and fragrant, unlike the chocknut cake, which did not impress us with its appearance or taste. The personnel is young but with a strong desire to improve, which is rare these days, deserve special praise. The drink selection is standard, and the prices are acceptable.
