Although it is not on the waterfront, but on a parallel street, Boket 78 is one of the most attractive restaurants in Bol, with a beautifully decorated spacious terrace on the first floor, in the inner garden of a large house. On the ground floor there is a bar, right next to the wide stairs leading to the first floor. The menu, which has not changed much, offers a modern interpretation of the Dalmatian cuisine, with a few trendy international dishes such as ceviche or gyoza, but always with a local influence. For example, the refreshing ceviche of lightly smoked white fish is prepared with an emulsion of citrus and olive oil, with the addition of purple onion and black olive powder. After a long time, we tried again the mini octopus peka (baked under a bell) and were convinced that it is still on the menu for a reason. Served in a small pot, it retained all the aromas and flavours of the large peka, with soft and juicy octopus legs and even better potatoes that soaked up the delicious sauce. Don’t miss the dessert. They offer several tempting options, from Boket 78, a carob and date sponge cake, to the exotic Mango-yuzu, with white chocolate, yogurt, tonka bean, mango confit, yuzu sauce and mango ice cream. We chose the more classic and simple apple crumble. Crispy, with vanilla ice cream and salted caramel, it nicely rounded off our dinner, which we paired with the excellent wine Stina Vugava. Although the personnel are friendly and try their best to take care of each guest, when it is very crowded, sometimes you have to wait for the food. If you are in Bol, definitely visit Boket 78, and be sure to book a table. You will enjoy tasty dishes and a nice, summer atmosphere.
