Gault&Millau's review 2026
Selected
Boogie Lab is one of the most successful Croatian gastronomic franchises, as it combines several genres. First of all, it is an artisan bakery, whose products are available for takeaway and consumption in the premises (and they also export their sourdough bread abroad). Then it is a café with specialty coffees, a bistro that offers brunch, lunch and dinner, all in a relaxed atmosphere. The impression is completed by good music and an excellent selection of cocktails, wines, sparkling wines and spirits. Boogie Lab in Zagreb operates at two locations – in Princes’ Park and in Arena Center. Opening hours are from 7 am to midnight, and different parts of the day have different menus. In the morning, takeaway dishes are sold – sweet and savoury croissants with various fillings and sandwiches; Brunch is offered from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (scrambled eggs, tartines with hummus) and then comes the lunch. The focus is on the evening (begins at 6 p.m.) to which they have paid special attention this year, bringing chef Roko Nikolić (Gault&Millau Croatia 2024 Great Chef of Tomorrow trophy) and the famous Pastry chef Petra Jelinić. The evening menu is based on three units: Small plates, Pasta and Bigger plates. The Bigger plates can be shared. As for the appetizers, we highlight the excellent combination of amberjack with apple and celery and the beef tartare on a crispy Boogie brioche bun. Among the pastas, the best are by far the cappelletti with duck meat, and among the main courses, the lamb terrine. We were delighted with the Carrot and Caramel dessert by Petra Jelenić. You will enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the energy of the space.
