Bruschetta, located right on the Zadar waterfront, has one of the most beautiful sunsets in the city. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and creates the perfect backdrop for a relaxed but elegant dinner. The personnel are extremely friendly, professional and unobtrusive, always ready to recommend a dish or a wine. The wine list is well thought out, with quality wines from the Zadar region, Dalmatia and the rest of Croatia, while classic cocktails are prepared precisely and with moderation. The menu is very diverse, from light salads, pasta and risotto to more robust fish and meat specialties, but all authentically Mediterranean. We start the dinner with the fresh tuna tartare, perfectly seasoned with Dijon-wasabi sauce, with mâche salad, capers and chives. The dish is fresh, balanced and elegant, and an excellent introduction to the rest of the evening. For a warm appetizer, we have green spinach gnocchi with sea bass and dried tomatoes, tender and aromatic, with a nice contrast between the flavours of the sea and of the vegetables. Next comes the excellent stew of monkfish, mussels and prawns, served with creamy polenta. A little tomato adds the necessary freshness, while homemade olive oil rounds out the entire dish and highlights the quality of the ingredients. Finally, the pistachio cheesecake, light and moderately sweet, perfectly closes this gastronomically very successful dinner. Bruschetta is a restaurant that offers much more than good food: atmosphere, view, top-notch service and a sense of special experience. This is the ideal place for a romantic dinner or to enjoy a Zadar evening.
