Cantilly is the only restaurant in Samobor that offers haute cuisine. Located in a historic villa, a little outside the centre, surrounded by a beautiful garden, since the opening has been attracting the guests with its dishes, completely different from the usual Samobor offer. Sophisticated interior is more like a tastefully decorated private house, and the playful terrace surrounded by rich vegetation offers a view of the garden where they grow vegetables and fruit. Their chef is the young Luka Đžamarija with many years of experience gained in several famous kitchens across Croatia. After the greetings from the kitchen, with an extraordinary brioche served with green butter with herbs, we tasted a delicate lemon risotto with scallops. The creamy risotto, with a harmonious combination of the mild and slightly sweet taste of the coral powder of the scallops with the light acidity of the lemon gel, showed the chef’s precise cooking technique. We were delighted by the dish called leek, in the form of a cake, in which the vegetable was processed in several ways. The tihočaj was also excellent, ravioli filled with slow-cooked shank meat in a Comté cheese cream, decorated with fried crispy sage leaves. A superb presentation of each plate further enriched the enjoyment of the food. The professional personnel are accompanied by an experienced head chef who pays attention to each guest. Cantilly has an excellent wine selection with top-notch domestic and international labels. The restaurant will give you an exceptional gastronomic experience of fine-dining quality.
