The Chops Grill Steak & Seafood restaurant is located in the very centre of the city of Split, in the pedestrian zone, surrounded by numerous other establishments. The interior is spacious and modern, and it has a large terrace. The place is equally loved by tourists and local guests who come here even in the off-season, because the restaurant is open all year round. The personnel are very efficient, fast and helpful, and used to the quick pace and crowds, with which they cope well. The very name of the restaurant suggests that it offers grilled meat. The main stars are Chops classics, veal fillet, T bone steak, rump steak, Black Angus rib eye, Tomahawk rib eye steak, Kobe beef, Beef Wellington. All the portions are plentiful. We loved the starter, a Black Angus carpaccio. The thinly sliced top quality meat seasoned with truffle emulsion, with capers and covered with grated cheese was extremely tasty. The mono portion of the beef Wellington that we tasted was technically precise, the meat remained pink, and the puff pastry crust was beautifully baked. The lamb chops were also excellent, served on a wooden board with baked potatoes. Chops offers non-meat dishes as well. We found the beetroot salad with pistachios, creamy cheese and horseradish toppings very interesting. They have fish, shellfish and various pasta dishes. The wine list mainly includes Croatian and regional wines, and many are available by the glass. Chops Grill Steak & Seafood is highly recommended, especially for the meat lovers.
