Congo pizza&pasta is located in Borik, a part of Zadar known for its marina. The interior is modern and warm, and the terrace is spacious, but located along a busy street. However, in nice weather, most guests still prefer the terrace. There is enough place to parking nearby. People come here primarily for the excellent pizza, pasta dishes and hamburgers. All pizzas are offered in two versions: napolitana, with a soft, airy edge and a thin middle, or romana with thin and crispy dough that breaks with every bite. We chose the Congo premium pizza and we did not regret it. The dough had the characteristic freckles, the fior di latte mozzarella was beautifully melted between the pancetta with pepper and chilli peppers. There was a serious piece of burrata in the middle and it was decorated with little balls of citrus pesto and fresh basil that give the pizza more flavour. Another excellent pizza was the Špeksa, with a sauce of San Marzano tomato purée, pancetta, garlic, mozzarella, a little hot sauce and basil. They offer five types of hamburgers, and we tried the classic smash hamburger with a 180-gram patty, in a potato dough bun and cheddar cheese, served with delicious golden fries and BBQ sauce. For dessert, we highlight the semifreddo and the lava cake with ice cream. The selection of wines, beers and cocktails is extensive.
