Gault&Millau's review 2026

Once a prince’s palace in the historic center of Rab, today it is home to a hybrid hospitality space - a restaurant, lounge bar, and gelateria. It all began with cakes, pastries, and ice creams developed in-house, but soon expanded into a full restaurant offering. The kitchen combines traditional recipes with modern interpretations, using mostly local and fresh ingredients, with strong attention to presentation. In addition to the year-round menu, seasonal availability of ingredients shapes special offerings. Spring features asparagus with prawns, summer highlights octopus carpaccio with citrus, autumn brings homemade ravioli with wild mushrooms and truffle aroma, while winter offers slow-cooked beef in a rich sauce with vegetables. As it originated from a pastry shop, desserts are one of the restaurant’s strongest assets. Ice creams have intense, natural flavors without artificial sweeteners, while cakes stand out for their combination of textures and visual appeal. The interior is elegant, but the main highlight is the palace courtyard and terrace - an intimate setting with elements of historical architecture and an old olive tree. Attractive venue and good service, be sure to book your place on time.
