Among the restaurants on the waterfront of Mali Lošinj, the Deveron gastro pub stands out for its location, next to the main square. It has an attractive, pleasant terrace, beautifully lit in the evenings, and always full, especially during the summer season. On colder days, you can stay inside, in a warm interior dominated by a large bar. Deveron serves Mediterranean cuisine, with an emphasis on local, Lošinj specialties. Here you can also have some excellent pizzas, with seafood, pistachio and mortadella or truffles, but our recommendation is to try their homemade pasta. Pljukanci with vongole are excellent, and even better are those with mixed seafood, mussels, vongole and scampi. The ingredients are always fresh, full of flavour, and the portions are generous. If you like pasta with fillings, order the Apoksiomen ravioli, filled with ricotta and spinach in a sage sauce. You will enjoy the Mediterranean aromas. The chef Zdravka Grgić has been running the kitchen for years and she is very good in preparing the traditional Kvarner dishes, from fish to meat. The menu also includes light summer salads, from tuna or chicken salad to Caprese, with mozzarella and tomatoes. The Deveron salad, with tomatoes, peppers, leaf lettuce, avocado and prawns, seasoned with avocado sauce, is particularly appealing. The extremely friendly staff will be happy to introduce and recommend the food. The wine list is well thought out, and there are also several champagnes and excellent spirits on offer. The Deveron gastro pub is a place that we highly recommend.
