Although the ambience and decoration are not its strong point, at Eggspresso it is a real feat to get a table. This bistro, which turned breakfast into the gastronomic event of the day, is located in one of the neglected courtyards in Vlaška Street, overlooking dilapidated buildings without facades (and even without windows). However, this does not bother loyal guests who enjoy hearty portions there from 9 am to 3 pm, in the center of which are - eggs. There are several basic categories on the menu - omelets, scrambled eggs and poached eggs, along with well-known international brunch classics. Among them are Eggs Benedict, Florentine and Royale, and the offer is expanded by toast with avocado and salmon, hard-boiled eggs with spiced yogurt, shakshouk (with eggs), Fittneggs salad and granola with yogurt and fruit. Omelets come, among other things, in combinations with ham, prosciutto, kulen seka and cheese, or tomato, mozzarella and basil, while scrambled eggs are combined with truffles, bacon, cheese or smoked salmon, and tofu scrambled eggs with vegetables are also offered. Coffee and juices are offered with food, and as natural companions to a casual brunch - Mimosa, Bellini, Rossini and classic Prosecco cocktails. The good side of Eggspress is the size of the portions, which are really plentiful, but since it is a restaurant that specializes in eggs, one would expect several original dishes that you can't easily replicate at home.
