Freyja is located within the Tamaris Hotel in Tučepi, on a modern and airy terrace overlooking the beach. The ambiance is elegant and relaxed, with a pronounced Mediterranean atmosphere that is ideal for a romantic dinner. The kitchen is run by chef Josip Tomas, and the focus is on refined author’s cuisine based on fresh, local ingredients. In addition to creative dishes, the offer also includes simpler options such as pasta, woks, salads and quality meat dishes, adapted to guests who prefer more classic, well-known flavours. The chef’s tasting menu, which changes depending on the season, and includes several carefully designed courses, is particularly noteworthy. The dishes are technically precise, with harmonious flavours and interesting textures, and pairing with wines is also possible. The concept of themed evenings such as the “Dalmatian Dinner” is also interesting, where Dalmatian dishes are offered at a buffet price of 35 €, and guests can also enjoy the sound of a live Dalmatian klapa (a traditional group of male a cappella singers). The wine list is extensive and includes Croatian and international labels, with a large selection of wines by the glass. The waiter expertly recommends the wines.
