Gault&Millau's review 2026

Vinotel and restaurant Gospoja is an eno-gastronomic complex originating from the winery of the same name, run by two related families, Toljanić and Brusić. It is located in an attractive spot on the edge of a cliff above the sea. The interior reflects the wine heritage of Vrbnik, decorated with vineyard motifs and artistic depictions of landscapes, while a key highlight is the terrace with a panoramic view of the Velebit Channel. The restaurant offers a variety of experiences, from à la carte meals and private or business events to organized tasting dinners and eno-gastronomic presentations. The cuisine is based on Mediterranean and modern Croatian gastronomy, using local ingredients such as fish, lamb and olive oil. The entire concept revolves around the family winery and wine is not just an addition, but the foundation of the restaurant concept. The wine list is extensive, focusing on the indigenous variety Žlahtina. The strongest part of the menu is fish and seafood, although guests also praise their risottos and Krk lamb. One of the standout dishes is Adriatic prawn tartare combined with apple or pear, enriched with mascarpone. Recommended dishes include turbot fillet in caper sauce with polenta, and Krk-style lamb shank- slow-cooked with sage and immortelle from the island. Visiting Gospoja is recommended for a relaxed trip with friends and family.
