In just a few years, il Ponte has become one of the favourite places of Trogir residents for romantic dinners, business lunches and celebrations. Its popularity among foreign guests has also increased since the construction of a new bridge that leads straight from the old town centre to the entrance of the restaurant’s courtyard full of greenery. If you are arriving by car, there is a parking lot in front of the restaurant. The interior is elegant, with large glass walls. On the menu, inspired by fine dining, they always have a few tested house specialties, as the beetroot ravioli stuffed with ricotta or the white chocolate dessert in the shape of a pear. However, every season they surprise guests with some innovation such as Japanese gyoza. The personnel are always polite and helpful and dedicated to each guest. On the wine list there are mainly the best Croatian labels and all wines are served by the glass. If you want to taste more dishes, you can order a half portion, which is a great idea. They pay special attention to the presentation of the dishes: from the choice of the china to the colour of the ingredients, they cherish simplicity and refinement. We choose three dishes. The smoked lamb carpaccio is full of flavours. The thinly sliced meat is served with smoked yogurt, blanched kale and peas. The tuna tartare with sweet passion fruit emulsion and pickled caper leaves is a refreshing dish with an original and harmonious combination of ingredients. Here you will enjoy every bite, so il Ponte is not to be missed.
