Gault&Millau's review 2026

Restaurant K.užina, located in the heart of Split, combines Mediterranean tradition and modern cuisine, emphasizing seasonal and local ingredients. The space is contemporary, with a warm and intimate atmosphere, and the beautiful terrace located between the walls of the old houses on a miniature piazzetta makes it ideal for relaxed meals and summer dinners. Chef Toni Boban runs the kitchen with a creative approach, combining traditional Dalmatian flavours and innovative combinations. The names of the dishes on the menu are short and concisely described, so it is worth “ask the waiter” as written on the menu concerning the offer for children. The food is characterized by freshness, creative presentation and rich flavours, especially fish specialties. The dish greater amberjack and lemon proves it, so we recommend that you try it. The desserts are pleasing to both the palate and the eye, and we had the opportunity to taste the cake by pastry chef Antonija Nikolić. The service is professional and friendly, and the prices are medium-high, in line with the quality. The restaurant’s reputation is based on a good combination of quality, creativity and local flavours. This is why this year they got two Gault&Millau toques. K.uzina is a good choice for anyone who wants to enjoy a modern Dalmatian gastronomic experience in the centre of Split.
