The terrace of a traditional wooden house offers a majestic view in every season. The hills shine brightly green in spring. In autumn they are yellow and red. When covered in snow, it is best to retreat into a warm rustical restaurant. It has been run for a long time by the Navoj family, who welcome guests with love and care. They gladly come back for their delicious traditional local dishes, pleasant atmosphere and affordable prices. The menu is hand-written, offering beef, cream and peasant soup, all varieties of meat - from poultry, game, to veal and beef. For dessert you can get apple or blueberry strudel, Prekmurska gibanica, chestnut cake with white chocolate - depending on the season. The best way to start a feast is with fresh home baked bread and with delicacies served on “Plešivička daska”, which include cheese and cream, pâtés, bacon and sausages. Peasant soup made from forest mushrooms is fragrant and rich in boletus. If you like game, try the marinated boar chop with stuffed baked potatoes. Veal under the belly is soft, sticky and full of flavour, while the juicy duck with homemade mlinci served in a small ceramic bowl is especially delicious. The gastronomic experience will be rounded off by local quality wines or some fine liqueur. A true homely atmosphere ideal for family gatherings, and only half an hour’s drive from Zagreb.
