Gault&Millau's review 2026

Konoba Boba in Murter has been for years one of the best restaurants on the Adriatic, so we are especially pleased that back in 2018, when the first Gault&Millau Croatia guide was published, we presented to Boba’s chef Vjeko Bašić the prestigious trophy Chef of the Year. Throughout all this time, the chef and owner of the restaurant has remained true to his culinary philosophy: local ingredients, respect for tradition, and a creative approach to cooking. Along with a beautifully decorated interior, Konoba Boba has an extremely pleasant terrace. The menu is attractive and they also offer excellent sushi, so the choice is challenging. Along with masterful preparation, fresh fish from the daily catch and first-class ingredients from selected, local suppliers guarantee the top quality of all the dishes that you will go for. After a few amuse-bouche, including the traditionally delicious fried cod dumplings with salsa, for a starter we chose an excellent scampi tartare, on a bed of lettuce, with orange and the pink sauce of the classic shrimp cocktail. This time too, we couldn’t resist the Kornati maništrun, their signature dish, made of cuttlefish and chickpeas, with pasta, served in a clay pot. The harmony of powerful flavours never fails to delight us. We can also highlight the delicate, creamy risotto of lobster and saffron, which saffron gives a beautiful colour. All main fish dishes, such as swordfish served with ratatouille, are excellent, while meat lovers will enjoy the veal with sage and pancetta and classics such as lamb ragout with peas and carrots and Dalmatian bržolica (beef or veal cutlet) served with đuveć (a traditional vegetable stew). If you still have some room for dessert, try the delicious airy lemon cake. The wine list is not overly extensive, but the selected wines pair well with the dishes. At Konoba Boba, they cherish original flavours and both, their food and the presentation of the plates are at the level of haute gastronomy.
