Gault&Millau's review 2026

Popular among both local and foreign food lovers, Konoba Nono has maintained for many years a standard of quality that never disappoints. From an interior filled with antiques and charming collector’s pieces to the food itself, the experience feels more unique than classic. The menu offers traditional local dishes with a subtle modern twist — fish and shellfish, homemade pastas, and selected meat specialties. Fresh ingredients, careful preparation, and generous portions ensure excellent value for money. Alongside the regular selection, you’ll also find rarer delicacies such as kid goat or Boškarin beef. We tried different fish, meat, and pasta dishes. The Kvarner scampi “buzara” can be ordered in a white or red version, and on staff recommendation we added pasta — an excellent choice. The scampi were big and fresh and the pasta silky and perfectly cooked. The green tagliatelle with prawns and clams impressed us with their depth of flavour, while the ravioli Nono, with prosciutto, rocket, and radicchio easily held their own alongside the seafood dishes. From the meat selection, we sampled the liver pâté and the pork ribs, to which the spicy vegetables added an appealing touch of character. All in all, Konoba Nono is a place where guests return to for a good reason - for the flavours, the atmosphere, and the consistent quality.
