Located in a courtyard in the very centre of the city, in Vlaška Street, across from Iblerov trg, Mali bar is one of those places that you know won’t disappoint if you want to eat something high -quality, delicious, homemade and a little different in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu changes seasonally, and some dishes change even several times within a season, which means that they are always prepared with fresh and carefully selected ingredients - a standard they have maintained for years. It is also commendable that Mali bar regularly and promptly informs guests about the new dishes on its social networks, so you can easily follow what is currently on offer. The menu includes dishes that have become the classics of the house: among the appetizers, labneh (a spread of yogurt and garlic with spices) and chicken and goose liver pâté, ideal for sharing, but also seasonal favourites such as pumpkin dishes that are prepared in several great ways. Kale rolls, juicy chicken and pasta made in the kitchen, such as ravioli or lasagna, are often on offer. If you come across it, don’t miss the excellent Parmigiana or for dessert, the Basque cheesecake, creamy and perfectly prepared. A pleasant roof terrace is open in the warmer months, and due to the constant occupancy, reservations are recommended for both lunch and dinner throughout the year.
