The restaurant Matanovi dvori offers an authentic Dalmatian gastronomic experience that combines tradition, quality and understated elegance. The pleasant interior, a harmonious combination of wood, glass and stone, creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere, while the terrace overlooking the Sukošan marina further completes the experience, especially in the evening. The staff are friendly and the wine list is carefully designed and rich in local labels, perfectly combined with the classic Mediterranean, or Dalmatian menu. The offer includes both fish and meat dishes with a special emphasis on using exclusively local ingredients - from fresh seafood to quality products from the mainland. For the appetizer, we tried the Sea Dish, which delighted us with its variety and balance of flavours: smoked swordfish, tender octopus, marinated prawns and tuna confit were perfectly complemented by homemade olive oil and garlic. This was followed by a creamy risotto with Adriatic scampi, very tasty and with a perfect texture. The seared scallops with their silky texture and slightly sweet flavour nicely prepared us for the main course, a wild sea bream masterfully prepared on the grill, with simple but perfectly executed side dishes – grilled vegetables and homemade Swiss chard with potatoes. Finally, a chocolate soufflé rounded off the meal as an elegant and balanced sweet ending. At Matanovi dvori, there is a sense of respect for food, tradition and guests. This is a restaurant we’d gladly return to.
