Prestige Restaurant
The restaurant is located at the top of the Hilton Rijeka Costabella hotel, so even the elevation to the sky raises expectations enhanced by the magnificent view of the Opatija Riviera. Opened from 5 p.m., Nebo persistently follows the fine dining standards, from professional reception and attention, highly elaborated cuisine, elegant ambience with unique details to top wine list and service. A hint of the experience begins with an impressive wine showcase in the lobby of the restaurant, where guests are served a welcome drink and a greeting from the kitchen. The introductory is followed by the continuation of the tasting menu, longer or shorter version, always with one course that expresses respect for bread. The young team gathered around the talented chef Gabriela Filca (Gault&Millau Croatia trophy Great Chef of Tomorrow 2024) pays special attention to the selection of ingredients from local farmers and the zero waste concept. It is emphasized in the presentation of dishes, such as the deconstruction of tomato, on tomato gnocchi with pickled purple onions, concasse with a homemade cheese insert, basil cream and wild herbs, and leaf crisp and colourless tomato juice. During dinner at this culinary journey through the flavors of the Mediterranean, the guest has the opportunity to taste an incredible number of ingredients - fruits, vegetables, meats and spices. The application of refined techniques is demonstrated in each course, while the presentation is visually impressive and gives the impression of great effort. However, the heavenly seven-course experience is time-consuming for the guest, and for the restaurant it is a challenge to work on the rhythm of serving dishes.
