Chef's Restaurant
Niko Restaurant in Puntamica, Zadar, represents the best of refined but sincere family gastronomy. Located right by the sea, with a view of the Zadar peninsula and its lights, Niko offers an elegant and warm experience at the same time, without the slightest pretentiousness. The gastronomic journey begins with a glass of champagne, an ideal introduction to the evening, with an excellent carpaccio of fresh scampi from the Velebit channel, an extremely simple dish, but impeccable in execution and taste. It is precisely this dedication to food and its natural quality that is one of the greatest strengths of Niko’s cuisine. This is followed by the vongole buzara, classic, rich and perfectly balanced, with a sauce that tempts you to another bite of bread. The highlight of the evening comes as a main course: lobster in red sauce with spaghetti. The pasta is perfectly cooked, the sauce is deep and aromatic, and the lobster is sumptuous and juicy. No doubt that this dish confirms the restaurant’s reputation. After all the creamy millefoglie brings a light, elegant finish, just enough rich to round off the meal without overwhelming the palate. Niko has a very good wine list, carefully selected and broad enough to accompany even the most demanding seafood dishes, with professional and unobtrusive staff who know how to recommend the right wine at the right time. Niko is not a place for culinary experiments, but a celebration of authentic Dalmatian cuisine, top-quality ingredients and family tradition. It is a restaurant where you come with confidence and always leave with a smile.
