In a series of terraces in Teslina Street, in the pedestrian zone of the city center, there is also Nomu Sushi & Wine. In addition to the Zagreb restaurant, Nomu also operates in Novigrad. It is a modern, simply decorated, Japanese restaurant that offers excellent sushi and sashimi, and gyoza, stuffed with wagyu beef, is especially good, as we saw during our visit. They use first-class ingredients, and emphasize that some come directly from Japan. Due to the location and the all-day flow of passers-by, they have also introduced a business lunch. From Monday to Friday, from 12.00 to 16.00, you can get chicken or beef ramen, katsu chicken or duck and beef gyoza rolls at very reasonable prices. We especially liked the fact that they grate fresh wasabi on the dishes, which is not common in other Japanese restaurants in the city. Nomu means to drink in Japanese, and here you will find as many as 400 wine labels. Their sommelier will be happy to advise you on what to choose with each dish. We tasted a fine miso soup with seafood, full of flavor. We also ordered the already mentioned gyoza and a crispy vegan roll, which delighted us. The staff is very friendly and professional and will devote themselves to you from the moment you sit down at the table, but without intrusiveness. Nomu is undoubtedly the address that will satisfy your desire for good Japanese food in Zagreb.
