Restaurant Noštromo is one of the oldest restaurants in the city centre, run for years by the legendary chef Zlatko Marinović. It is located right next to the main city fish market. Although the restaurant has changed owners, we are glad that it did not make the mistake that new owners often make, erasing every trace of the previous one and regardless of the importance and condition of the place, they often invest a lot and get a worse version than the previous one. However, in the new Noštromo the same atmosphere prevails and almost everything has remained the same. The artistic paintings that decorated the previous restaurant are not the same, but they are equally valuable and contribute to this original interior with the same effect. There are no major changes in the offer either. It is still excellent first class fish, scampi and shellfish, and they have just added some new dishes like the tartare and the carpaccio of scampi and tuna. The scampi and porcini mushroom soup is also an “old” dish that is still very good and definitely recommended. The perfectly grilled dentex was tasty and juicy. We also got live scampi which are increasingly rare, even in the best-furnished restaurants. So, even without the real Noštromo - Zlatko Marinović, the restaurant Noštromo remained true to itself and justified its long-standing name and legacy of a good fish restaurant.
