For years a sought-after destination for both local and international guests, Ostaria Veranda attracts visitors with its pleasant atmosphere, Mediterranean charm, and genuine celebration of food. It is located in the charming Volosko, offering beautiful views of boats and Kvarner Bay – through the glassed-in veranda in winter and from the shaded terrace under lush wisteria in summer. The gastronomic offering is based on local ingredients and the freshest daily catch from the sea, with options for meat lovers and vegetarians. Among the cold starters, the refreshing white fish and octopus ceviche stands out, served in a flavourful fish-belly sauce with coriander, corn, and peperoncino. Among the warm starters, the rustic homemade Veranda ravioli is notable – richly filled with white fish and served in a sauce of prawns, smoked mussels, and tomatoes. For the main course, a grilled tuna steak lightly seared with sesame and served with a bulgur salad is an excellent choice. Veranda’s wine selection exceeds expectations, ranging from champagne by the glass to excellent house wine and carefully chosen labels, both domestic and international. The dining experience at Veranda is completed by the long-standing personnel, who are highly knowledgeable about the menu and dishes, offering personalized attention to each guest.
