Meneghello, one of Hvar’s legendary restaurants, is located within the charming resort of the same name in the beautiful Palmižana bay, on the island of Sveti Klement, which is part of the Pakleni Islands. This iconic place, internationally renowned, has been run for decades by the Meneghello family, who have expertly and above all with a lot of passion, combined magical nature, gastronomy and art. You can stay in one of their picturesque cottages, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation and decorated with contemporary works of art, or you can come by boat to enjoy the traditional Dalmatian cuisine. Their equally original terrace, on whose colourful walls hang dozens of paintings, is always lively, and the atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. Someone once wrote that it is like dining in an art gallery. There is always seafood and fish on offer. We started with prosciutto and sweet melon, and continued with grilled red scorpion fish, roasted over the open fire of a large fireplace. Fragrant and full of flavour, with firm and delicious meat, it was served with grilled zucchini. And to finish we had a light and refreshing lemon sorbetto with vodka for an ideal summer dinner in a unique setting.
