Pink Pig in Branimirova Street is a specific and extremely original micro-bistro that offers authentic Japanese home cooking under the leadership of chef Maki Nagayoshi. Unlike the usual restaurants of this type in the city, the concept is not based on sushi or tempura, but on traditional recipes interpreted through seasonal and local Croatian ingredients from Zagreb's markets. It is literally a home restaurant that has a capacity of no more than a dozen guests, which is why entry is possible only with prior reservation. The offer is defined by a tasting menu, usually of five to six courses, which includes fish and meat plates and dessert. The menu often changes in accordance with seasonal ingredients, so the fact that you do not know in advance exactly what to expect gives the whole evening an element of surprise. Direct contact with the chef, who speaks excellent Croatian and explains each course cordially and passionately, evokes the feeling that you have been invited to dinner by a close friend in Tokyo. In addition to the house drink menu, guests are also left with the opportunity to bring their own wine with an opening fee (corkage fee). It is paid exclusively in cash.
