Pizzeria Ruspante is located near Otočac, near Majerovo Vrilo and the Gacka River. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and is a frequent refreshment stop for hikers and gourmets who deliberately turn off the highway and come back very often. We belong to this second group because Ruspante is really worth coming to. The space is decorated rustically, with wooden tables with rocker details combined with the decoration from the region of LiIka. The guests can choose between an indoor hall and a terrace. The wood-burning oven is located in the centre of the space, so you can watch how they prepare the pizza and enjoy the fragrant smells. If you plan to stop by Ruspante, be sure to book a table! There are about twenty types of pizza on the menu: from the classic Margherita and Capricciosa, or Slavonian and Vegetarian to the slightly richer ones. Ruspante pizza contains a combination of smoked chicken, mozzarella and vegetables, while Sinceranka is made with smoked trout, cheese and cream. Even more specific and filling are the Lambpizza, which combines Lika basa cheese and lamb meat baked in a bread oven, and the Lika Winter enriched with bacon, sausages, cheese and cracklings. We tried the Dudin san with smoked chicken, purple onion and homemade pesto and the classic Margherita. Both pizzas were delicious, with airy dough and a crispy edge. In addition to pizzas, they offer pasta, salads and several grilled dishes. They also offer craft beers and domestic drinks. For dessert, you can choose between pancakes with various fillings. They are so big that one portion can be enough for two people. The personnel are busy but punctual. Free parking is located near the building. After the hearty lunch, take a walk to the mills and enjoy the clean air and the beautiful nature.
