Restaurant Pjat is located on the Šibenik waterfront, at the bottom of a spacious plateau in the very centre of the city. It has a modern interior and a large terrace protected by huge parasols and partly fenced with large potted olive trees. The restaurant is open all year round, which is a rarity on the coast. The kitchen offers a variety of dishes, from those from the Dalmatian tradition, as best demonstrated by the brunch menu, to trendy dishes. There is a special emphasis on meat specialties. The menu includes aged rib eye and steak, beef tagliata with arugula and parmesan, and a burger made from domestic beef in a brioche bun. In addition to classic steaks, they also offer slow-roasted pork ribs in BBQ sauce and chicken fillet stuffed with cheese and prosciutto. Among the traditional dishes, we would like to mention the veal goulash with green peas and the lamb under a baking bell. The fish part of the menu is equally diverse. Carpaccio, grilled fish, black cuttlefish risotto, grilled squid, and sometimes fresh oysters are also available. We tried the fully flavoured octopus stew. In order to please all age groups and the different taste of the guests, Pjat has also included pizzas made in a bread oven and sushi in the offer. The dessert menu changes, and we were first delighted with the appearance and then with the taste of the chocolate cake with a combination of berries. The wine list contains Šibenik and Dalmatian varieties such as Babić, Plavac Mali and Debit, as well as several labels from other Croatian regions. They also offer cocktails and a selection of domestic brandies. The atmosphere is relaxed and lively, especially in summer. Despite the attractive location by the sea, the prices are moderate, which makes it one of the most popular places to eat in Šibenik.
