Gault&Millau's review 2026

Located in the heart of Croatia’s oldest marina, this restaurant offers spectacular views of Puntarska Bay, the islet Košljun, and a harbor filled with yachts and boats. It spans two levels, with a nautical - style interior and a seaside outdoor area that includes a children’s corner. They are known for charcoal grilled fish and handmade pasta, while the new menu introduces more modern flavours. Dish names are written in the local Chakavian dialect, so translations are helpful. For example, “Sve niš zmišano va curici” refers to various wok dishes, while “Junetina po merikansku zi toćen ili bez” means beefsteak with colourful pepper or black truffle sauce. New culinary creations include sea bass carpaccio with citrus emulsion and macerated strawberries, and fresh tuna tartare with avocado and wasabi mayonnaise. A notable dish for two is homemade spaghetti with shrimp and porcini mushrooms served in a wheel of cheese. Each month, a new menu features affordable lunch options such as vegetable stew with roasted bacon or grilled sausages with fries and mustard. The wine list is extensive, focusing largely on Istrian and Kvarner labels, along with several natural biodynamic wines from Italy, Slovenia, and Croatian regions of Moslavina and Plešivica, as well as sparkling wines and champagnes.
