If the Trajbar Team equestrian club is a true paradise for animal and nature lovers, then the Potkova restaurant located on this magnificent estate is a paradise for the meat lovers. They also have dishes for vegetarians, but the emphasis is on meat specialties accompanied by balanced sauces and seasonal additions that do not mask the basic taste. Located about 20 km west of Zagreb and three kilometers from the center of Zaprešić, this complex offers a variety of facilities. Most of their dishes are rooted in local cuisine, but they use modern techniques in their preparation, as well in the presentation. For example, duck breast marinated in honey is served with orange sauce and sweet potato “fries”, and the Trajbar beefsteak is a quality piece of tender fillet, soft as a soul, with porcini mushrooms that, combined with spring onions, get a spicy but interesting taste. You can choose various additions and their croquettes are top-notch - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Cauliflower cream soup can be a great introduction to lunch - hearty and frothy, with toasted hazelnuts and bacon really enrich this simple dish. It is difficult to decide which dessert is tastier - raspberry cheesecake, panna cotta with forest fruits, baked apple stuffed with walnuts or chocolate souffle with mint ice cream. Restaurant Potkova is worth every recommendation. Most of continental Croatian wines from the list are also poured by the glass.
