Gault&Millau's review 2026

The Rosemary restaurant, on the terrace of a villa in a park full of cytrus and oleander trees on one side, and olive and pine trees on the other, offers a special gastronomic experience. Although it is not by the sea, this does not diminish the pleasure. The peaceful atmosphere of the park and the elegance that the space exudes make lunch or dinner here extremely pleasant. The staff is not only friendly, but each member of the team is excellently versed in the menu and wine list, which allows for the perfect pairing of food and wine. Fresh seafood is beyond question here. Among the appetizers, the tribal tartare with motar, pljukanci with shrimp and risotto with wild asparagus stand out as real pearls of rich flavor and perfectly balanced textures. The dentex fillet, cooked just right and served with a classic side dish of chard and potatoes, is juicy and full of the flavor of the sea. The main meat dishes are also recommended: lamb stew with biži and polenta, light and full of aroma, while the lamb chops are impeccably cooked and imbued with a light aroma of rosemary. Sweet flavors – aromatic dried figs in prosecco with mascarpone cream and chocolate cake – perfectly round off the overall experience. The wine list is extensive, with an emphasis on the best Croatian labels, but also includes a large number of Slovenian and Italian wines and excellent sparkling wines. The price-quality ratio is very good, and a recommendation for those who want to enjoy a special atmosphere - book a table.
