Located in the heart of Hvar’s historic town centre, Sweet Pastry Shop is a sweet little gem whose top notch pastries testify amazing creative skills. Each of their desserts is not only carefully prepared from quality ingredients, but also visually appealing. Some show the influence of French pastry, for example, in creamy “pops” like chocolate and passion fruit or chocolate and salted caramel, while others bear witness to a tradition that has taken on a modern form. This primarily applies to the paprenjak (sweet-and-spicy, aromatic, and crunchy cookie) which has been prepared on Hvar since ancient times, but as a dry cake - while at Sweet Pastry Shop it has been given a creamy version. Their refreshing lemon tart, lavender cheesecake and fig and cheese cake are also famous, and all of this is complemented by a rich selection of teas and coffees. This combination of hot drinks and desserts makes Sweet Pastry Shop a desirable place to take a break after exploring the cobblestone streets and historical sites of Hvar.
