Prestige Restaurant
Set within the centenary Esplanade Hotel, Zinfandel’s has long stood as one of Zagreb’s most distinguished gastronomic addresses. Award winning chef Ana Grgić Tomić and her team craft dishes grounded in creativity, precise technique, and seasonal ingredients, while world class service and an elegant setting round out the experience. The restaurant’s interior echoes the hotel’s iconic art deco heritage, featuring carefully selected details and refined decor suited to the character of this historic address. A particular highlight is the Oleander Terrace, one of the city’s finest outdoor dining spaces. The culinary journey begins with an amuse bouche: two varieties of bread served with butter alongside a creamy brie paired with pistachios and a quince tartare, setting the stage for the kitchen’s meticulous attention to detail and interplay of textures. Among the starters, the smoked Saint Jacques scallop tartare stands out, while the warm course delivers a creamy risotto combining roasted fig, rosemary, and Pag island cheese. Taking centre stage on the menu is the open fire roasted lobster accompanied by a rich velouté made from its shell. A touch of sweet pepper and chili, along with thoughtfully designed sides of polenta and corn, further highlights the robust character of this marine delicacy. The meal concludes with a decadent chocolate crémeux finished with olive oil, sea salt, hazelnuts, and fig. This refined fine dining experience is anchored by an impressive wine program encompassing several hundred labels, alongside a generous selection available by the glass.
