Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
Perak vineyards stretch along the best positions in the Kutjevo vineyards - Mitrovac, Lukač and Vetovo - in a wonderfully beautiful landscape. This 12-hectare vineyard is owned by the oenologist Ivica Perak, who founded the family winery in 2011. The oldest plantations date back to 1968 while the latest are from ten years ago. The most common variety is Graševina. From day one it has been extremely encouraging for Ivica Perak to produce a wide range of wines - from dry quality to predicate wines. Therefore, Graševina occupies two-thirds of the vineyard area, and the rest is for chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, merlot, cuvée and rosé wines. Everything is ready for the first sparkling wine. A new large tasting room has also being completed together with the project to expand wine tourism. It includes a studio apartment and two comfortable rooms in the centre of Kutjevo. Perak’s son Ivan and daughter Maja got involved in this part of the business, reinforcing the family tradition and their father’s experience and knowledge with new energy and new ways of promoting their wines.
