Founded on a centuries-old family tradition of viticulture, yet guided by a modern approach to production, the Zajac Winery is an authentic example of a wine story from the Srijem region. The Zajac family has cultivated vineyards, agriculture, and horse breeding for generations, while the present-day winery began to take shape in 2004, when Zlatko and Aleksandra Zajac built their own cellar. Their 17 hectares of vineyards are located in the far east of Croatia, on the slopes between the Danube River and the foothills of Fruška Gora. The annual production of their cellar in Ilok reaches approximately 50,000 liters of wine. Their portfolio includes Graševina, Traminer, Chardonnay, Frankovka, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Rosé. Production is based on modern technology (stainless steel tanks, controlled cooling), with a portion of the wines aged in wooden barrels to enhance flavor complexity. For their guests, the Zajac family organizes tastings in a rustic-style tasting room (with prior reservation required), vineyard tours, and carriage rides through Ilok - truly a unique experience.
